After not playing a game in two weeks, the Borderite bats were ready to explode, and that’s exactly what happened as they smashed 14 hits, including a double, a triple and four homeruns. Leading the way was senior Mesa Puls who blasted three homeruns and she also drove in seven runs. Aaliyah Broyan also hit her first career homerun, and Courtney Roff went 4-for-5 at the plate. The Pioneers were led offensively by senior Payton Bartl who had two hits and two runs batted in. Nooksack Valley also had a pair of hits from Gracie Rutgers, Maleah Loreen and Halle Benner, while Natalie VanLiew drove in a pair of runs.

24 hours after being shutout by Burlington-Edison, the Lync bats came alive in Deming as senior first baseman was a triple shy of hitting for the cycle, and she drove in a team-high four runs. Junior Taya Vander Kooi pounded four hits and scored four times, and Ariana DeBoer went 3-for-4 at the plate. Roxanne Lenning also hit a homerun, and struck out eight batters in her three innings of work. Mountaineer senior Cadence Cloninger went 2-for-2 to lead her team offensively.

Golden Eagle senior Hannah Swan drove in four runs with a double and her first varsity homerun as she helped lead her team to the win at home over the Bayhawks. Hadley Pike also had three hits and scored four runs, and Ferndale also got three runs driven in from Nyla Kanda, Kate Johnston and Amaya Chervenock. Bellingham got base hits from Eden Johnson, Evelyn Moore and Ray Jackson.

Mariner senior Sarah Kruzich reached base three times, and struck out 13 batters, but it wouldn’t be enough at home against the Wildcats. Madeline Hutchinson also doubled for Sehome, and shortstop Mariah Anderson walked twice.

When freshman Tavia Alexander singled to lead off the top of the second inning, and eventually came around to score on a triple off the bat of senior Lexi Neil, the Trojans were down just 2-1, but the Tigers poured it on after that to pick up the home win. Alexander picked up another hit in her second at bat.

Sedro-Woolley 17, Lynden 1
The five-game winning streak for the Lions came to a sudden halt as the powerhouse Cubs came to town, hit a trio of homeruns and proceeded to take the win. Lynden senior shortstop Campbell DeJong hit a solo homerun in the bottom of the first inning, and by doing so, she broke the school record for most runs scored in a career. Lynden also got a base hit from sophomore catcher Charlotte Somma.
