The Golden Eagles scored twice in the bottom of the fifth inning which allowed them to take a 2-1 lead. The Lions tied it up in the top of the sixth when Lydia Somma’s single drove home Almira Hodgins, and Lynden then went off for six runs in the top of the seventh, which was highlighted by a three-run homerun to centerfield by Campbell DeJong. Callie Ramerman then went on to strike out three of the four batters she faced in bottom of the seventh. Ramerman ended with 16 strikeouts, and the Lions got a pair of hits from Somma, Piper Arneson and Kasey DeJong. Hannah Swan and Maddy Slevin each scored for Ferndale, and freshman pitcher Nyla Kanda struck out 12 batters.

With the game knotted up at 10-10 in the bottom of the seventh, Trojan freshman Tavia Alexander led off the inning with a double to left field. Layla Curtright then followed up with a well-placed bunt, and when the throw to first wasn’t on target it allowed Alexander to score the game-winning run. Alexander wound up scoring four of her team’s 11 runs, and Piper Ruzicka drove in three runs, which allowed Meridian to jump out to a 9-3 lead after three innings. Rylie Mattingley went the distance in the circle and struck out nine batters.

A single off the bat of Gracie Rutgers allowed Kayla Wooten to score from second base in the top of the eighth inning, and the Pioneers held off the Seahawks in the bottom of the inning to pick up the conference road win. The Nooksack Valley offense was powered by Ellie McKissick who doubled, homered and drove in a team-high four runs. Maleah Loreen also picked up a pair of hits and Kestyn Wagter drove in two runs. Payton Bartl struck out 11 batters, to surpass 300 strikeouts in her career, as she captured her eighth win of the season.

Borderite senior Aaliyah Bowman had one heck of a day at the plate as she hit for the cycle and drove in an incredible 10 runs as Blaine picked up the road win. The Borderites also received homeruns from Aaliyah Broyan and Susannah Bogle, who both went 2-for-2 at the plate. Courtney Roff and Mesa Puls each scored four runs, and Dilyn Nowakowski came around to step on home plate three times. Puls also had one of her best pitching performances as she struck out seven batters in the complete game shutout. The lone Mariner hit came off the bat of Sarah Kruzich, who also struck out a pair of batters in her three innings of work.

The Mountaineers scored four runs in the bottom of the seventh, but the magic ran out as they weren’t able to pick up the conference win at home. Cadence Cloninger singled, doubled, scored two runs and stole three bases to lead Mount Baker. She also struck out 10 batters in her complete game effort in the circle. Zaida Haynes added a pair of hits and two runs driven in. Other runs batted in came off the bat of Ella Horsmon and Emma Richardson.

The Bayhawks got a single and a double off the bat of Izzy Rogers, and Harjas Grewal walked, singled and stole a base, but it wouldn’t be enough as they fell on the road to the incredibly talented Tigers. Bellingham also got hits from Ray Jackson and Emma Johnson.
