In one last tune up before the 1A Bi-District Tournament, the Borderites went on the road and scored first when Aaron Garza’s single to left field brought home Kai Kerwin who had singled earlier in the inning. The Tigers then came back and struck for two in the bottom of the inning, and they held the 2-1 lead for the majority of the game. In the top of the seventh inning, Blaine was able to push across three runs due to multiple mishaps in the field. Junior Josh Cochran pitched the final four innings of the game and struck out 10 batters while allowing just two hits to pick up his fourth win of the season. Aaron Garza went 3-for-3 at the plate, while Kai Kerwin and Isaac Bouma each had a pair of hits.

In the season finale, the Golden Eagles played all nine of their seniors, but it was the Tigers that came and spoiled the going-away party for Ferndale. Burlington-Edison scored three runs in the top of the first inning, and held on to the lead for the rest of the game. The Golden Eagles picked up a single from Kayden McGary and a double from Fenton Vasak, but the biggest moment of the night was when designated hitter Kulshan LaValley, in his first year of playing varsity baseball, doubled to the wall in the bottom of the seventh inning. The season for the Golden Eagles came to a close with a record of 10-10.
