Meridian 5, Lynden Christian 1

Senior Skyler Rowe scored two goals to lead the Trojans to the road victory between the two top 1A teams of the Northwest Conference. Meridian also got goals from Adrian Meza, Sagar Virk and Oliver Nichols. The Lyncs got on the board in the second half with a goal from Keenan Deming, which was assisted by Haiden Kooiman.

 

Ferndale 6, Nooksack Valley 1

Golden Eagle junior Ahanu Fasani had a hand in four goals that were scored as he finished with two goals and two assists to lead Ferndale to the victory on the road against the Pioneers. Parker McManus also scored two goals, and Emilio Pinto-Gonzalez added two assists. Other Golden Eagle goals came from Evan Saxman and Andrey Savenko, and freshman Silas Whitkop had an assists. Nooksack Valley’s goal came from Arien Anker.

 

Lynden 6, Blaine 0

The Lions scored three goals in each half, and leading the balanced attack was junior Malachi Koenen who scored a pair of goals. Lynden goals were also scored by Markus Koenen, Eddie Briseno, Nate Castellon and Judah Braun.

 

Squalicum 8, Mount Baker 0

The Storm won their eighth straight game to begin the season, and they did it by scoring eight goals against the Mountaineers at home. Freshman Cole Oswalt scored twice, while other Squalicum goals were scored by Isaac Grimes, Kellen Savage, Rylan Jenkins, Nico Jurado-Reyes, Jonathan Perez and Luis Reyes.

 

Sehome 8, Sedro-Woolley 0

The Mariners dominated at home as Chase Harrison led the way with a pair of goals. Sehome also received goals from Mason Ivcevic, Keaton Hayes, Jack Cooper, Aaron Weldon, Micah Powell and Alec Langholz.

 

Anacortes 2, Bellingham 1

The Bayhawks led 1-0 at the half behind a goal from sophomore midfielder Kai Ingram, but the Seahawks were able to squeak through two goals in the second half to pick up the comeback win at home.
