The Lyncs led 5-0 after four innings, but the Mariners were able to make it a three-run game and even loaded the bases in the final inning with just one out, but Lynden Christian sent Tanner Blair into the game and he promptly got the last two batters out. Senior Sam Kok allowed just one hit and struck out five batters over five innings to get the win, and he also went 3-for-4 at the plate with a triple. Mariner freshman lefty Garrett Gibbons struck out four batters over three innings, and Riley Carlson led the Sehome offense with a pair of hits.

The Golden Eagles rattled off six runs in the top of the first, and added five more in the following inning before cruising to the five-inning victory on the road. Brayden Ebbesen and Fenton Vasak each doubled twice and singled once to charge the Ferndale offense, which also got a pair of hits from Carson Brown, Tracen Pazaski and Mason Arndt. Despite walking six batters over four innings, senior pitcher Nolan Boleak didn’t allow a hit and was able to pick up the win. Senior Kai Kerwin had the lone Borderite hit, and senior Hugo Vekved struck out three batters in three innings of relief.

The Pioneers scored the first run of the game after Evan Brown crushed the second pitch of the game to right field for a triple, and crossed home plate three pitches later on a groundout, but the Tigers were able to pound out 10 hits as they constantly kept the pressure on. Brown and Jamison Randolph each had a pair of hits for Nooksack Valley, and Randolph also struck out two batters over five innings of work.

The Bulldogs scored in each of the first five innings, and allowed just one hit to take the win on the road. That one hit was a two-run homerun off the bat of Hudson Johnson in the third inning. Christian Vermeulen struck out three batters in an inning and a third in relief.

After two innings it was looking pretty good for the Trojans were up 7-0, but the Cub bats came alive in the third, and wouldn’t let up for a few innings. Sedro-Woolley attacked the baseball and it resulted in five doubles and 10 singles. Meridian junior Nate Payne led his team with three hits and three runs batted in, and junior Trey Alexander scored three runs. The Trojans also got a pair of hits and two runs batted in by junior catcher Gabe Galbraith.

The Seahawks overpowered the Mountaineers early and often after going up 11-0 after two innings, and the story remained the same over the next few innings. Mount Baker’s lone hit came off the bat of senior Toga Tigilau who led off the bottom of the fifth inning with a double.
