The Lions pounded out eight hits and took advantage of five walks, seven hit batsmen and seven errors to take down the Mountaineers on the road. Infielders Spencer Adams and Noah Navarrete each drove in three runs to power the Lynden offense. Senior Jax Baar also flourished on the mound as he struck out nine batters and gave up just one hit in the complete game shutout win. Mount Baker’s hit came off the bat of the Tyson Barksdale in the first inning.

The Golden Eagles ripped off six runs in the bottom of the second inning, and it was more than enough for sophomore pitcher Tracen Pazaski who allowed just two hits in the complete game shutout win. Braylon O’Breen and Mason Arndt each tripled for Ferndale, and Fenton Vasak scored three runs and stole two bases. The Storm got base hits from Hudson Johnson and Ty York.

The Mariners picked up their third straight shutout win at home this week as senior Gunnar Tweit struck out five batters and allowed just three hits in six innings of work. Jad Geiger and Riley Carlson each had a pair of hits and two runs batted in, and Hudson Neff scored twice. Sehome also got hits from the left side of the plate from Gunnar Anderson and Eljas Lara, both of whom became available to play this week.

Back-to-back RBI singles in the top of the sixth by the Aaron Garza and Kai Kerwin of the Borderites broke a 3-3 tie, and helped lead Blaine to the road win over the Pioneers. Junior pitcher Josh Cochran pitched the complete game for Blaine and struck out 13 batters without a walk, including the final three batters of the game. Garza led Blaine with three hits and three runs batted in, and Cochran also helped his cause with two walks and two runs scored. Nooksack Valley senior Evan Brown pitched four innings in relief and struck out four batters, but took the loss.

The Bayhawk three-game win streak was snapped late on Friday night as the Cougars scored a run in the seventh inning to tie the game and send it into extra innings, and followed that up with a three-spot in the top of the eighth to grab the road win. Freshman Brody Garat struck out three batters in his four innings of work, and Eric Helfield didn’t allow a run in his two innings of relief on the mound. Beckett Fisher led Bellingham with two hits, while he and Helfield each drove in a run.
