The Golden Eagles scored eight runs in the top of the first inning, and went on to score runs in four of the next five innings before taking the conference win on the road. Freshman leadoff hitter Nyla Kanda went 4-for-4 with three runs batted in, three runs scored and three stolen bases. Maddy Slevin and Kate Johnson each drove in four runs for Ferndale which won its sixth straight game. Charlotte Simon was also able to pick up her fourth win of the season in the circle. The Mountaineers got base hits from Zaida Haynes and Emma Richardson, while Maddi Lewis walked twice and stole a base.
