Here are the nominees in chronological order, and you can vote below for the winner, which will receive a case of Gatorade from Walton Beverage. Voting will end on Wednesday the 20th at 12:00 noon.
- Kinsley Rector – Lynden girls golf – On Tuesday, at Lake Padden Golf Course, the senior won her third straight 2A district championship by shooting a 159 over 36 holes, 11 stokes better than the second place finisher.
- Callie Ramerman – Lynden fastpitch – On Tuesday, at Bender Fields, the junior pitcher struck out 12 batters and allowed just one hit in the district championship win over Burlington-Edison.
- Spencer Adams – Lynden baseball – On Wednesday, at Daniels Field in Anacortes, the senior took the mound for the first time all season and was dominant in the district championship win over Sehome where he allowed just one hit over four innings, sat down 12 of the 13 batters he faced and then also reached base three times in the 10-0 win.
- Bane Mitchell – Sehome boys soccer – On Thursday, at Civic Stadium, two days after winning 1-0 over Archbishop Murphy, the 6-foot-6 junior goalkeeper didn’t allow a goal once again in a loser-out contest, this time against Bellingham, and the match went to penalty kicks. He ended up stopping the first two, and converted one of his team’s own as the Mariners took the win.
- Kate Koreski – Blaine fastpitch – On Friday, at Fort Borst Park in Centralia, the junior centerfielder went 4-for-5 with three triples, five runs scored and a stolen base as the Borderites got off to a great start in the bi-district tournament with a 13-10 win over King’s Way Christian.
