A wild, back-and-forth slugfest between two hots teams came down to the final inning when the visiting Golden Eagles scored five runs in the top of the seventh, which was highlighted by a bases-loaded triple from junior Maddy Slevin to give her team the lead. She finished the game with four hits and three runs driven in, both of which led Ferndale. She also scored three runs, as did Hadley Pike and Morgan Schagt. The Borderites got off to a hot start when they batted around in the bottom of the first inning and scored six runs. Junior Kate Koreski led Blaine with four runs batted in, while Courtney Roff and Dylin Nowakowski each scored three runs.

Sarah McVie scored four runs and Callie Ramerman drove in four runs as the Lions powered their way past the youthful Trojans on the road. Lydia Somma also went 3-for-3 with a pair of doubles, while Kasey DeJong and Campbell DeJong each drove in three runs. Ramerman also went the distance in the circle and struck out nine batters. Meridian freshman Tavia Alexander doubled, walked, got hit by a pitch and scored a run, and Gretchen Zandstra had a run-scoring single.

Brooke VanLoo homered and drove in seven runs to lead the offensive explosion of the Lyncs. She was joined by Averly Patterson who slugged three doubles and drove in five runs. Sloane Hansen also had three hits for Lynden Christian, and she scored four runs. Roxanne Lenning picked up her fifth win of the season, and Kensley VanSoest pitched a perfect three innings in relief, including an immaculate inning in the bottom of the fourth where she struck out all three batters in nine straight pitches. Kassidy Homolka was the lone player to reach base for the Bayhawks with a first-inning walk.

Burlington-Edison 11, Sehome 1

The Mariners got on the board first when Jordan Walker singled then later scored on a single off the bat from Jacinta Lewis, but the powerful Tigers went on to score the next 11 runs of the game to take the home win. Lewis doubled later in the game to pick up her second hit, and Sarah Kruzich struck out seven batters in five innings of work for Sehome.
