The Lyncs started out their conference season on a roll as they scored multiple runs in every inning. Junior leadoff hitter Taya Vander Kooi went 5-for-5 with two homeruns, five runs batted in and five runs scored to lead the offensive attack. Roxanne Lenning also hit a homerun, and Hannah Terpstra drove in four runs and was a homerun away from hitting for the cycle. Lenning also picked up the win as she struck out nine batters in four innings of work.

The Pioneers were down 2-0 after three innings, but quickly roared back to score 15 runs over the next four innings to capture the road win. Ellie McKissick drove in four runs, hit two triples and a double to lead the Nooksack Valley offense, which also got three hits from Grace DeHoog. Payton Bartl tripled, drove in three runs, and struck out seven batters in three innings of work in the circle. Maleah Loreen picked up her first varsity win after entering in the fourth inning when her team was down.

The 4A Spartans were too tough to take down in the early morning affair. Leadoff hitter Sarah McVie led the Lions with two hits, while Lynden also received base hits from Campbell DeJong and Lydia Somma. Callie Ramerman struck out six batters in her complete game effort.

The youthful Trojans were overmatched by the undefeated Wolves who scored at least three runs in every inning that was played. Meridian got base hits from Chloe Heinrich, Maddie Krumdiack and Piper Ruzicka.

The Bayhawks struggled against the more experienced Seahawks who flew out to a five-run lead before Bellingham would step into the batter’s box. Senior Izzy Rogers picked up a hit for the Bayhawks, and Ray Jackson struck out seven batters over three innings.
