Sehome 1, Lynden 1
In an incredibly even match, Lion sophomore Markus Koenen was able to score with his brother Malachi assisting on the play, and the Mariner goal came from Mason Ivcevic on a penalty kick. Both were scored in the first half, and a fast, physical exhibition of athleticism took place in the second half, but no goals were scored.
Bellingham 6, Mount Baker 0
The Bayhawks picked up the shutout win at home as Gabe Caraco and Parker Fields each scored a pair of goals to lead their team. Bellingham also received goals from Oliver Ochs and Sloan Jorgenson.
Ferndale 3, Lynden Christian 1
The Golden Eagles received goals from Andrey Savenko, Ahanu Fasani and Emilio Pinto-Gonzalez as they picked up the huge home win over the Lyncs. Lynden Christian’s lone goal was scored by Jackson Yun, which was assisted by Keenan Deming.
Meridian 3, Oak Harbor 1
The Trojans jumped out on top early as Eli Hays scored on a free kick, Damion Hayes punched on into the net, and Dakota Ng had a header off a throw from Sagar Virk just before the half. The Wildcats scored once in the second half, as Meridian held on for the road win.
Squalicum 4, Lakewood 1
The inspired Cougars kicked off the scoring in the first half at home, but the game was tied up before halftime as Cole Oswalt was able to score. Whatcom County’s leading goal getter, Maddox Strickland, scored twice in the second half and Oswalt was able to score one last goal before the final whistle.
Mount Vernon 6, Nooksack Valley 2
Although the Pioneers lost, they did something that many teams couldn’t do, and that was score more than one goal against the Bulldogs. Jaden Jones scored on an assist from Chris Moncada-Castillo, and Adrian Chavez also scored. Arturo Rebollar finished with nine saves.
Anacortes 3, Blaine 0
The Seahawks got the road win as the Borderites were held scoreless.
