Squalicum 2, Bellingham 1

The Bayhawks made it a game against the favored visiting Storm, but Squalicum was still able to pick up the win, its tenth straight to start the season. Junior Maddox Strickland scored his 16th goal of the season, and the second Storm goal came from Drew Swanson off a cross from Rylan Jenkins. Bellingham’s goal came from Alejandro Pringle.

 

Nooksack Valley 7, Mount Baker 1

The Pioneers picked up their first win of the season, and they did it in a big way, on senior night, at home. Aldo Figueroa and Chris Moncada-Castillo each had a hat trick for Nooksack Valley. Norberto Chavez also scored for the Pioneers. The Mountaineer goal came from Elijah Hart.

 

Sehome 3, Lynden Christian 0

The Mariners executed their third straight clean sheet, this time it was on the road against the Lyncs. Sehome received first half goals from Chase Harrison and Keaton Hayes, and Mason Ivcevic scored the final goal of the game in the second half.

 

Ferndale 5, Anacortes 0

The Golden Eagles picked up their seventh win of the season, and they did it in dominating fashion as Andrey Savenko scored two goals and had an assist to lead the way. Evan Saxman dished out two assists and also picked up a goal himself. Ahanu Fasani and Emilio Pinto-Gonzalez also scored goals, and Diego Morales had an assist.

 

Meridian 5, Sedro-Woolley 3

The Trojans jumped on the Cubs early as Adrian Meza and Skyler Rowe each scored in the first nine minutes of the contest, and Meridian led 2-14 at the half. Sedro-Woolley then came out hot to start the second half, and scored two goals over the next eight minutes, and led 3-2. A no-look goal by Rowe tied it up at 3-3, and that scored remained until the extra time took affect. Sagar Virk was able to score the go-ahead goal in the closing minutes of the game, and Rowe then punched in his third goal of the game just before the final whistle.

 

Mount Vernon 1, Lynden 0

The five game winning streak for the Lions came to an end on the road against the talented Bulldogs who were able to keep Lynden from scoring.

 

Burlington-Edison 2, Blaine 0

The Borderites were unable to pick up their third win of the season as they fell at home to the Tigers.
