Meridian 5, Raymond/South Bend 0

The Trojans proved to be incredibly ready in their state playoff opener as they got the complete game victory on the road and will now move on to the quarterfinal round. Dakota Ng kicked off the scoring just six minutes into the game with a goal, and Skyler Rowe added a goal a little over 10 minutes later. The score remained 2-0 until the half, but Meridian added on less than a minute into the second half when a corner kick by Damion Hayes bent right into the back corner of the goal. Adrian Meza added a goal 10 minutes later and Oliver Nichols headed in a goal from a corner kick late in the game, and the Trojans will face Cashmere at 3:00 today at the Apple Bowl in Wenatchee.
