After three scoreless innings, the Lyncs broke the scoring open in the top of the fourth with an RBI double from Sam Kok, scoring Brayden Engels. Trey Johnson then knocked in Kok for the two-run lead. However, the Eagles scored three runs in the bottom of the inning to put themselves out in front. Eli Maberry stole home to score the game-tying run in the top of the sixth moments after picking up his 100th career hit, becoming just the third player in school history, after Scott Romjue and Austin Engels, to accomplish that milestone. Shortly after, Engels raced home on a wild pitch, scoring the run the Lyncs needed to claim the Bi-District Championship. Engels also played stellar defense at third base to go along with his game-high two hits and two runs. Kok went the distance on the mound as he struck out six batters and allowed just five hits. Lynden Christian will play Naches Valley on Saturday at 1:00 in the first round of the 1A state tournament, the location has yet to be determined.

In a winner-to-state/loser-out game, the Borderites committed four infield errors in the bottom of the second inning, which allowed for five runs to score, and the Knights only added on from there. Cochran also went five innings on the mound, and struck out five batters. Blaine’s season came to a close with a record of 9-14.
