With the score tied up at 2-2, Pioneer sophomore Tyler Martin led off the top of the seventh inning with a double down the left field line. Ethan Lind then bunted him over to third base, and Martin scored on Evan Brown’s grounder. Brown then wrapped up his complete-game appearance on the mound in the bottom of the seventh to get his second win of the season. Jamison Randolph and Matthew Blake each finished with a pair of hits for Nooksack Valley. For the Storm, it was their third one-run loss of the week, and junior Hudson Johnson pitched well enough to win as he struck out five batters in six-plus innings before having to be pulled because of pitch-count restrictions.

The Trojans lined out for the final out of the game with the tying run on second base as Meridian dropped its fourth straight game. Junior pitcher Landon Rowley went the distance and struck out five batters, but took the tough-luck loss. Catcher Gabe Galbraith led the Trojans with two hits, and shortstop Pierce Brzozowski drove in a pair of runs.

The Bayhawks were overmatched against the 4A Vikings on the road as Lake Stevens needed just four innings to rattle off 16 runs in the non-conference matchup. Senior Eric Helfield had Bellingham’s lone hit, and Joe Harward struck out four batters in his three and 2/3 innings of work.
