  • Lynden 74, Sehome 39

The Lions won the tip-off, scored the first two points of the game, and cruised to an early 20-9 lead in the first quarter. Another 20-point quarter from Lynden in the second expanded its lead to a 25-point advantage entering the half.

The Mariners played their best quarter in the third matching the Lions’ scoring effort 16-16 but another big quarter in the fourth for Lynden prevented Sehome from closing any more of the gap.

Freshman guard Finley Parcher led the scoring for the Lions with 21 points, and sophomore forward Payton Mills had 16 points. Junior guard Kiki York also contributed 11 points.

For the Mariners, senior guard Madi Cooper scored 28 points and senior forward Natalie Brewer had eight points.

  • Lynden Christian 82, Ferndale 54

The Lyncs outscored the Golden Eagles in each quarter, and they came up with the huge conference road win.

Junior forward Allison Shumate connected on eight of her 10 shots, including her only three-point attempt, and led Lynden Christian with 18 points.

Junior guard Grace Hintz continued her strong comeback with 16 points, and sophomore guard Estela Hernandez finished with 13 points, seven assists and three steals.

Ferndale was led by sophomore forward Jillea Fox and sophomore guard Kayla Washington who scored 17 points each.

  • Blaine 39, Anacortes 33

Despite being down after each of the first three quarters, the Borderites fought back in the fourth by going on a 17-5 run to pull out the huge home victory.

Senior forward Jordyn Vezzetti totaled a team-high 19 points, and freshman forward Teia Dube addded nine points and six rebounds.

Senior guard Millie Berkeley had six points, seven rebounds and three steals, and senior guard Deja Dube finished with five points, four rebounds, two assists and two steals.

  • Meridian 36, Sultan 26

The Trojans forced 27 turnovers, and defense carried the day as Meridian pulled out the non-conference home win.

Senior forward Malia McCauley finished with 15 points, nine rebounds and five steals to lead the Trojans.

Sophomore guard Kinsely Neal scored nine points, all from beyond the arc, and junior guard Brooklyn Fuller ripped down 11 rebounds to go with her six points.
