  • Bellingham 63, Mount Baker 49

The Bayhawks raced to an early 19-5 lead in the first quarter and held a 24-point advantage at halftime. Coming out of the half, the Mountaineers found the momentum and outscored Bellingham 25-15 to close the gap to within 14 points. The Bayhawks held Baker off in the fourth quarter and the game ended with the same point gap.

Bellingham was led in scoring by senior guard Wyatt Stephan, with 23 points, and junior guard Gabriel Van Hofwegen, with 17 points. Sophomore forward, Joe Harward contributed 10 points.

For the Mountaineers, sophomore guard Jordan Bailey led the scoring with 12 points, and junior forward Darius Gilstrap with 10 points. Freshmen post Kell Reardon also had nine points.

  • Meridian 75, Oak Harbor 37

The Trojans shot their way to a 22-6 first quarter lead, and it was never close after that.

Junior guard Talon Jenkins shot 11-for-17 from the field and finished with 29 points, 11 rebounds and three blocks.

Junior guard Jaeger Fyfe added 16 points, seven rebounds and four assists for the victors.

  • King’s 70, Nooksack Valley 58

The Knights led 38-22 at half time, but the Pioneers played even with them in the second half, but were never able to break King’s double-digit lead.

Junior center Brady Ackerman led Nooksack Valley with 15, while junior point guard Caden Heutink finished with 14 points, including eight from the foul line.

Junior forward Colton Lentz added 12 points.

  • Burlington-Edison 70, Blaine 62

A 27-point second quarter by the Tigers vaulted Burlington-Edison into a 36-26 lead at the half.

The Tigers were then able to hold off the Borderites for the remainder of the game to pick up the home win.

Senior forward Noah Tavis connected on 6-of-8 from the floor, and scored 15 points to lead Blaine, and junior forward Abdul Kanagie came off the bench to score 15 points, while shooting 7-of-11, and grab five rebounds.

Senior guard Justin Minjarez had team-highs with nine assists and seven rebounds, and 6-foot-4 sophomore Landon Melton connected on three 3-pointers and finished with 14 points, five rebounds and three steals.
