THE FEATURED FOUR

Jet Triplett – Senior – Inside Linebacker

Major speed in the middle of the field for the Pioneer defense, and a sure tackler. He led Whatcom County with 49 tackles last season, and he has a lot of returning defensive starters around him.

Jordan Silva – Senior – Running Back/Cornerback

One of the best overall athletes in the 1A Whatcom County ranks. He has a lot of varsity experience, and his big-play ability on both sides of the ball will be a huge benefit for the Pioneers this season.

Nick Dykstra – Senior – Right Tackle/Defensive End

With his 8.5 tackles for loss, along with two sacks, his 10+stops behind the line of scrimmage in just six games last season show how dominant he was. There’s no reason to believe it will be any different this fall. He also returns at offensive tackle to clear huge holes for Silva.

Caleb Kingma – Senior – Tight End/Inside Linebacker

Not a traditional tight end in the Pioneer offense, but he won’t play too far from Dykstra on the line of scrimmage. He led his team in receiving last season, and was an awesome defender that can bring the heat, or cover multiple positions.

Who will be Nooksack Valley’s break-out player?

John Stremler – Sophomore – Offensive Line/Defensive Line

A starter at defensive end last year as a freshman, I could see a HUGE jump in production this year. As he continues to grow and get stronger, it’s just going to cause more havoc for the rest of the 1A schools in the area.
