Johnson

Sophomore fireballer Olin Johnson threw a no-hitter, and struck out nine batters, to lead the Storm to victory. The Washington State University commit was on target all game, with 68.5% of his pitches being strikes. Right fielder Keenen Patterson was one of many players that had big contributions offensively for Squalicum, as he collected three hits and stole three bases. Senior catcher Trent Miller scored three runs, and hit his fourth double of the season. The Storm also got multiple hits from Trey Andersen and Joziah McCloud.

Jacob

The Lions got an impressive performance out of 6-foot-5 senior starting pitcher Ian Jacob, who picked up his first victory on the season. Jacob gave up just three hits and one run, while striking out four, in four and two thirds innings of work. Lane Simonsen got the final four outs to pick up the save for Lynden. Junior Taivin VanDalen was 2-for-4 with two runs scored and two runs batted in for the Lions. Senior centerfielder Everett Simpson led the Borderites offensively, going 2-for-3 with a walk, a double and four runs batted in. Brady Castellano also reached base three times with a single, a double and a hit-by-pitch.

Hatchett

Once again, the powerful offense of the Golden Eagles couldn’t be contained. Ferndale scored in every inning except the second, and when sophomore first baseman Landen Hatchett blasted a three-run homerun in the first inning, the Golden Eagles never looked back. Hatchett also hit a double, and finished with four runs batted in. Senior shortstop Aidan Roddel was 3-for-4 with a pair of runs batted in, while senior Carson Peters had two hits, including a double, to go along with two runs scored. Sophomore Isaac Paxton led the Lyncs offensively with two hits and two runs scored.

Trojan junior center fielder Bryce Johnson was a homerun away from hitting for the cycle, and he knocked in four runs to lead his team at the plate, while senior pitcher Ethan Brooks was dominant, striking out 11 batters while giving up just one hit over six innings. Sophomore second baseman Hunter Jones also had a big game offensively with three hits and three runs scored. Catcher Ian Forbes also had a pair of hits, and third baseman Gabe Dahlberg had a double and a stolen base for Meridian. Sophomore Bennett DeLange had two hits and two runs batted in for the Pioneers.

Frere

After three innings, the Mariners held a 3-0 lead, but the Wildcats tied it in the top of the fourth, took the lead in the top of the sixth and eventually held on for the win. Sehome leadoff hitter Brooks Frere was 2-for-4 at the plate, and stole his seventh base of the season. He also struck out five batters in five and a third innings on the mound. Junior Gavin Ortega also reached base twice, with a double and a walk for the Mariners.

Burlington-Edison 13, Bellingham 4

Anderson

The Red Raiders hung around with the powerful Tigers for a few innings to begin the game, but Burlington-Edison was able to pour it on in the fourth inning by scoring four runs to stretch out its lead. Second baseman Connor Anderson led Bellingham at the plate with two hits, a double, a run scored and a run batted in. The Red Raiders also got extra-base hits from center fielder Landon Kerzman, catcher Ethan Brimble and shortstop Manny DePalma.
