Here are the nominees in chronological order, and you can vote below for the winner, which will receive a case of Gatorade from Walton Beverage. Voting will end on Wednesday the 29th at 3:00 PM.
- Kali Tan – Meridian girls golf – The sophomore took first place on Tuesday at the North Bellingham Golf Course by shooting an 84, which was three strokes better than the second place finisher.
- Chance Hatchett – Ferndale baseball – The burly sophomore already had three hits in the game when he game up to the plate with the game tied in the bottom of the seventh against Bellingham on Tuesday. He then proceeded to get his fourth hit of the game, which was won the game for the Golden Eagles.
- Maddox Strickland – Squalicum boys soccer – At Lynden Christian, the junior scored all five of his team’s goals in a 5-1 win over the Lyncs on Thursday.
- Mesa Puls – Blaine fastpitch – In addition to picking up the win in the circle at Mount Baker on Saturday, she also hit a double, a triple, and a homerun. She also drove in seven runs, walked once and stole two bases.
- Jolie Paz – Squalicum Track and Field – At the incredibly prestigious Eason Invitational on Saturday, which had 53 schools competing, the senior took first place in the shot put with a heave of 37 feet and 5.5 inches, and she also took second place in the 100 meter hurdles, with a time of 15.06 seconds.
