- Skyler Rowe – Meridian soccer – The senior scored three goals against Sedro-Woolley on the road on Tuesday night in a 5-3 win. One of the goals was a no look goal while facing the other way, using his heel to boot the ball into the net.
- Emerson Varga – Ferndale Track and Field – The sophomore cleared 5’4″ in the high jump at Lakewood on Wednesday. It’s four inches higher than any other athlete so far this season, and over the last 10 years this leap has only been accomplished one other time in Whatcom County.
- Josh Cochran – Blaine baseball – On Thursday the junior pitched a gem against Bellingham as he threw a one-hit shutout, while striking out nine batters.
- Mesa Puls – Blaine fastpitch – Not only did she pitch all seven innings to pick up the win on the road against Nooksack Valley on Thursday, but she also crushed three home runs and drove in seven runs.
- Matthew Blankenburg – Meridian golf – On Thursday afternoon at the Bellingham Golf & Country Club, the senior won the Whatcom County Championship by four stokes by shooting a 75.
