EVERETT – The Storm were unable to withstand the juggernaut that are the Wildcats as Archbishop Murphy defeated Squalicum 51-7 at Terry Ennis Stadium on Friday night.
After the Wildcats scored their first touchdown of the game, the Storm rebounded with a strong drive that witnessed a 10-yard run by sophomore Tucker Hofstedt and a 25-yard pass completion from senior Phoenix Price to junior Elias Larranaga. However, the drive was dismantled when Archbishop Murphy forced a fumble, and returned it 84 yards for a touchdown.

The Wildcats scored on another long touchdown run, and were up 21-0 after the first quarter.
Squalicum then put another big drive together, which featured a 22-yard run by Maddox Strickland. The senior running back finished the drive with a 7-yard touchdown run, but that would be the lone score of the game for the Storm.
Archbishop Murphy went on to score four more touchdowns, and a field goal.
Senior strong safety Ray Hoffmann led Squalicum defensively with 6.5 tackles, and junior cornerback Elijah Webster had five tackles and a pass broken up. Junior linebacker Noah Gilbert had a quarterback sack and junior safety Mason Sone had a tackle for loss.
The Storm (1-4) will travel to Sultan (2-3) on Friday to take on the Turks at 7:00.
