With numerous players out sick, the Golden Eagles still managed to go on the road and defeat the Bulldogs. However, they had to go five full sets to do it.
Ferndale knew going in that it would be without outside hitter Svetlana Baydak, as well as her back up Chenoa Fasani, but depth has not been a problem this year for the talented 3A squad as Teia Dube overloaded the stat sheet with 25 kills, 22 digs and three aces, and Adelle Overson had a career-high 21 kills to go with four digs and three aces.
The Golden Eagles also received 17 points from the service line, and leading the way was Brooklyn Larrabee who finished four aces. She also had 49 assists, 12 digs and three kills.
Sienna Brionez led the defense at the net with a pair of blocks, while Veronika Melnyk had 21 digs, Carly Garner posted 14 digs and Ashley Pietig added 10 digs.
