In game one of the double-header, sophomore Charlotte Simon drove in three runs offensively, and allowed just three hits and struck out seven batters while in the circle as she picked up the shutout win. Kate Johnston also had two hits and three runs batted in to help power the Golden Eagle offense, and sophomore shortstop Ari Gilday scored four runs.

The Borderites got back above .500 with the convincing home win on Saturday afternoon. Senior catcher Aaliyah Bowman homered and drove in four runs, while power was also supplied by Mesa Puls who tripled and Courtney Roff who doubled. Puls also scored three runs, and Leanna Sacknoff walked three times, stole three bases and scored three runs. Freshman Charley Bakker struck out four batters over five innings to get the win.

The Lyncs got back into the win column after a hard-fought contest on the road against the Warriors. Five of the nine Lynden Christian hits were doubles, with leadoff-hitting shortstop Kortnee Tolsma hitting two of them. Junior pitcher Roxanne Lenning had three hits, two runs batted in and also picked up the shutout win while allowing just three hits and striking out 11 batters.

Ferndale 13, Friday Harbor 9

In the second game of the double-header, the Wolverines led 7-4 through three and a half innings, and the Golden Eagles just needed something to spark a comeback. One of those sparks came off the bat of Maddy Slevin who slugged a two-run homerun in the bottom of the fourth inning to make it a one-run game. A few innings later it was a single by Nyla Kanda that scored two runs and gave Ferndale a lead. It was followed by a triple from Hannah Swan that scored two more runs and Ferndale hung on for their third straight win. Kanda and Slevin each drove in four runs and Charlotte Simon picked up the win in relief.
