It was a 1-0 Golden Eagle lead after one inning, but it got out of hand quickly as Ferndale scored eight runs in the top of the second, and added 13 more in the top of the third. Sophomore Tracen Pazaski mixed it up on the mound all game with his fastball and breaking ball, and struck out seven batters in the five-inning complete game performance. He also led the Golden Eagles offensively with three hits and three runs batted in. Brayden Ebbesen also drove in three runs, and was able to score three runs. Mountaineer sophomore Tyson Barksdale hit a two-run triple in the bottom of the fifth inning and Kamden Moa struck out three batters over two innings on the mound.

The Borderites got hot early on and scored multiple runs in each of the first four innings before picking up the mercy win at home. Senior pitcher Hugo Vekved threw all five innings and struck out eight batters to pick up his first win of the season. Elijah Wenger drove in three runs, and George Streeter knocked in a pair as Blaine reached base 19 times over the first four innings.

The Bayhawks ended their six-game slide with the road win over the Tomahawks and Tobias Lamb got things going in the second inning when he doubled in C.R. Griffith and Eric Helfield to open up the scoring. Lamb then scored on a passed ball later in the inning, and that was followed up by a Joe Harward single which scored Beckett Fisher. Fisher, a sophomore, leaned on that four-run lead while on the mound, and went five innings and allowed just four hits and one run while striking out seven batters. Eli Goodbuffalo doubled in two runs later in the game, and Harward also hit a triple and stole three bases.

The Turks touched home plate four times before the Pioneers were able to step into the batter’s box, and ultimately fell at home in the non-conference matchup. Nooksack Valley also committed six errors in the field, which led to nearly all of Sultan’s runs. Senior Evan Brown had two hits and scored two runs, and senior Landen Stauffer drove in two runs. Freshman Lucas Woodrich pitched four and two thirds innings in relief and struck out five batters.
