A 1-run advantage for the Mariners after three innings quickly turned into an 8-1 lead after a big bottom of the fourth. A sixth-inning bases loaded triple by Cadence Cloninger netted the Mountaineers three more runs, but that would be the last scoring opportunity for Mount Baker. Sehome senior Jacinta Lewis had a huge impact as she went 3-for-3 with two doubles, five runs batted in, two runs scored and four stolen bases. Senior pitcher Sarah Kruzich went six innings and struck out 11 batters. Cloninger struck out eight batters in the loss.

The Golden Eagle bats stayed hot from their wins over the weekend, and put up 10 runs in the first inning. Hadley Pike went 3-for-3 with a pair of doubles and two runs batted in, and Maddy Slevin was 2-for-3 with a double and three runs batted in. Ferndale also got a pair of runs batted in from Amaya Chervenock, while Charlotte Simon picked up her third win of the season in the circle as she didn’t allow a single run in her four innings of work. The Trojans were led by leadoff hitter Chloe Heinrich who had two hits and drove in both of her team’s runs.
