The Borderites took advantage of 11 times being hit by a pitch, nine walks, added seven hits and came away with the conference win in their home opener. Leanna Sacknoff hit her second homerun of the season, and Charley Bakker drove in three runs and got the win in the circle. Blaine’s Courtney Roff and Aaliyah Bowman also scored three runs each. The Bayhawks got base hits from left fielder Mila Dills and catcher Izzy Rogers.

The Pioneers were outmatched against one of the premiere 3A teams in entire state as they were looking at a 13-0 deficit after one inning, and were never able to climb out of the hole. Kestyn Wagter doubled and Grace DeHoog singled to lead the Nooksack Valley offense.
