Ferndale 4, Bellingham 0

Golden Eagles junior Parker McManus scored an early goal, and a tense 1-0 game was played all the way until the half. The second half belonged to Ferndale senior Evan Saxman who scored three goals in the final 20 minutes of the match to secure the home win over the Bayhawks.

 

Lynden 8, Sedro-Woolley 0

After scoring nine goals in a game last week, the Lions ripped off eight goals at home against the Cubs. Senior Nate Castellon and sophomore Markus Koenen led the way as they each finished with two goals and two assists. Lynden also got goals from Malachi Koenen, Eddie Briseno, Hale Van Dyk and Marcel Bourgault.

 

Squalicum 1, Mount Vernon 0

In a matchup between two top teams in the Northwest Conference it was the Storm scored the lone goal of the game with a little over 22 minutes left in the game on a corner kick from sophomore Rylan Jenkins that was headed in by freshman Cole Oswalt.

 

Lynden Christian 8, Mount Baker 0

Keenan Deming scored two goals and had two assists as the Lyncs shut out the Mountaineers. Lynden Christian also received two goals from Isaac Scott and Grant Adams. Jackson Yun had a goal and an assists and Luke Bos also scored a goal. The shutout in the net was preserved by the trio of Gavin VanLoo, Preston Dykstra and Scott.

 

Sehome 2, Oak Harbor 1

The Mariners bested another tough opponent, this time getting by the 3A Wildcats behind the goals of Alec Langholz and Mason Ivcevic.

 

Blaine 3, Nooksack Valley 1

The Borderites picked up their first win of the year in a fast, hard-fought match with the Pioneers on the road. Dima Yuryev scored two goals, and Parker Gough scored his first goal of the season for Blaine. Nooksack Valley’s goal came in the second half by Chris Moncada-Castillo.

 

Meridian 1, Burlington-Edison 1

The Tigers took a 1-0 lead in the second half, but it was quickly answered when Eli Hays booted the ball through after a free kick was bounced back out to the perimeter.
