It didn’t look good for the Golden Eagles who found themselves down 7-6 going into the final inning, but senior Braylon O’Breen led off the inning with a single, and it was followed by a walk from Fenton Vasak and a sacrifice bunt from Chance Hatchett which advanced both runners. Carson Brown was then intentionally walked to load the bases as the Wildcats hoped they could get a double-play and walk away with the road win. Instead, freshman catcher Mason Arndt singled up the middle which scored the tying run and the winning run for Ferndale. Arndt finished with two hits, and senior Cole Larson drove in a team-high three runs. Sophomore Tracen Pazaski picked up his third win of the season as he struck out eight batters in his three and 2/3 innings of relief.

Playing their fourth game in five days, the Borderites got off to a slow start as the Seahawks poured on all 14 of their runs over the first two innings of play. Blaine got hits from Kai Kerwin, Ashton Vezzetti and Connor Brown, while sophomore Isaac Bouma struck out four batters in his three innings of relief on the mound.

The Pioneers were only able to muster three hits against the defending 3A state champion Bulldogs, as seniors Evan Brown, Matthew Blake and Crew Bauman all slashed their way aboard the bases. The freshman duo of Lucas Woodrich and Luke Bartl combined their efforts on the mound and each struck out a batter.
