Lynden 7, Sedro-Woolley 2

Lion junior Lane Simonsen struck out 11 batters in the complete game victory, to pick up his fifth victory of the season. Lynden broke a 2-2 tie in the top of third, and continued to score throughout the contest. Kael Stapleton, Campbell Nolte and Lincoln VanDiest each had a pair of hits for the Lions.

Squalicum 5, Mount Vernon 0

Sophomore pitcher Ben Hebert reached back and found something very special when he battled Mount Vernon, as he allowed just two hits and struck out eight batters in six innings of work. The Storm jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning when Dylan Johnson singled home a run, and Colby Lewis opposite field line drive drove in two more runs.

In a contest between the present versus the future, fans of the Golden Eagles and Bayhawks witnessed a no-hitter in a true pitcher’s duel between Ferndale senior Jake Mason and Bellingham freshman Alden Scott. Mason walked four batters, but didn’t allow a hit throughout. However, his pitch count reached the limit with two outs in the seventh inning, and junior Camden Raymond took the mound, struck out the only batter he faced in three pitches to secure the no-hitter. Scott allowed just four hits and struck out eight batters with his efforts. Jake Mason’s third inning triple scored Tipton Bundy for the lone run of the game.

Burlington-Edison 2, Meridian 1

The Trojans couldn’t halt their two-game skid as they fell to the Tigers after Burlington-Edison broke a 1-1 tie in the sixth by scoring on a fielder’s choice. Despite being defeated, sophomore southpaw Jonah Aase was still brilliant in his outing. He threw the complete game, allowed two hits and struck out 13 batters to give him over 100 strikeouts on the season.

Oak Harbor 9, Sehome 3

A tough first inning, in which the Wildcats scored five runs, helped Oak Harbor to victory over the Mariners. Carson Neff hit a double and a triple to lead Sehome offensively. The senior catcher also scored one of the runs, along with fellow seniors Ben Sefrit and Riley Malloy.
