Hoefer

MERIDIAN 3, BELLINGHAM 0

The Trojans kept their hot streak alive by defeating the Bayhawks, 25-13, 25-9 and 25-15. Meridian, now 8-0, was led by senior Jolena Hoefer who had 10 kills and six aces. Finnley Claeys had seven kills and five aces, while Katie Weg added three kills and Hayden Claeys served up six aces. The Trojans had 21 aces on the night, and hit .368 as a team. Malaysia Smith had another great performance, this time with 28 assists and three kills.

Shumate

LYNDEN 3, OAK HARBOR 0

The Lions improved to 6-3 after beating the Wildcats in three straight sets, all with the score 25-21. Ashley Shumate had a big night with 10 kills and three aces, and Kayla DeJong added five kills and a pair of blocks. Grace Rice totaled 21 assists and two aces, and Mya VanderYacht and Haylee Koetje led defensively, each of whom had 11 digs.

SEDRO-WOOLLEY 3, SEHOME 1

After losing the first two sets 25-21, the Mariners dominated set three 25-11. Unfortunately, the fourth set went the way of the Cubs, and Sehome’s record dropped to 1-8.
