The Lions stayed unbeaten since the end of 2024 by defeating the Bayhawks on the road in straight sets, 25-6, 25-11 and 25-6.
Lynden went on numerous runs throughout the night with senior Lexi Hermanutz at the service line, who did her part as well with five aces, followed up by junior Kasey DeJong who had three left-handed aces.
Senior Finley Parcher led her team with 11 kills, and she was followed by senior Sarah McVie who had seven kills to go along with a team-high two blocks.
Junior Izzie Stephan added 23 assists, four hills and three digs, while Hadley Lamp and DeJong each had a team-high seven digs.
Bellingham played its best volleyball in the beginning of the second set, as points came in bunches for the home team, which caused the defending state champions to call a timeout and regroup. Bayhawk stats were not available at the time of posting this story, but will be added to the volleyball statistical database when they come in.

The Mariners looked dominant at home as they defeated the Cougars in straight sets 25-12, 25-12 and 25-7.
Senior Paige Flory led her team with 12 kills, with a hitting percentage of .556, as well as 2.5 blocks.
Senior Jackie Hurley had a team-high 11 digs, junior Taylor Turrell posted a double-double with 14 assists and 10 digs and junior Radler Rosellison led with five aces.
Sophomore Cora Noskoff-Sanchez added seven kills, while junior Hadley Crovo had three aces and freshman Sophia Gage had 1.5 blocks.
