Sehome’s Jad Geiger collected an RBI double in the first inning to kick off the Mariners first scoring wave. They pushed another run across in the first inning and two more in the second inning. The Mariners’ second scoring wave came in the fifth inning when Max Braunstein was brought home on when Hudson Neff was hit by a pitch. Two more runs crossed after the ball was mishandled by the defense, and Geiger grabbed his second RBI on a his Whatcom County-leading 10th double of the season. On the mound, Geiger allowed just two hits over six innings. The Lion hits came off the bat of Matthew Carroll and Spencer Adams.

For the Golden Eagles, it was their sixth straight one-run game, and second in a row with a walk-off win. Down 2-1 in the bottom of the seventh inning, Ferndale senior Braylon O’Breen stole third base with two outs, and then scored when an error in the field occurred, which sent the game into extra innings. After a scoreless eighth, and top of the ninth, O’Breen led off the bottom of the ninth with a walk, which was followed by a line-drive single from Fenton Vasak and a bunt single by Tracen Pazaski. That brought up Chance Hatchett, who already had three hits in the game, and when he stroked his fourth hit, in brought home O’Breen to win the game. Both starting pitchers did their job as Nolan Boleak and Kai Nelson each allowed just three hits. Bayhawk senior Alden Scott had two doubles.

The Storm put a skid to their 11-game losing streak, with the last three being by one run each, and put it all together at home against the Wildcats. Senior southpaw Cameron Schmitt was dialed in as he struck out eight batters and walked just one in the complete game shutout. Ty York led the Squalicum offense with three hits and three runs scored, while Henry Ingersoll and Phoenix Price each drove in a pair of runs.

The Trojans dropped their fifth straight, this time on the road against the Seahawks. Meridian got base hits from Trey Alexander, Pierce Brzozowski, Gabe Galbraith and Kayson Culp. Alexander also pitched the complete game for the Trojans.

Lakewood 10, Blaine 4
The Cougars sped out to an 8-0 lead after two and a half innings, and the next two and half innings saw the Borderites cut the lead in half, but Blaine ultimately fell at home. Aaron Garza doubled, and Ashton Vezzetti singled, but those would be the only hits for the Borderites who did manage to draw 13 walks. Sophomore Isaac Bouma allowed just four hits and one earned run in five innings of relief.

The Lync bats were silenced to the tune of two hits as Lynden Christian struggled at home against the Tigers. Vance Elton singled, and Logan Davis singled and stole a base to lead the LC offense.

Sedro-Woolley 12, Nooksack Valley 1
The Cubs scored early and often on the road against the Pioneers, who didn’t help matters by committing seven errors in the field. Senior Crew Bauman went 2-for-2 at the plate, and he also struck out five batters over four innings on the mound. The lone Nooksack Valley run came when senior right fielder Brandon Grim drove in sophomore Tyler Martin.

It was all Bulldogs who dominated in every fashion. In the shortened five-inning contest, the defending 3A state champions pounded 14 hits, and didn’t commit a single error in the field. Tremendous pitching was also on display as they sat down all 15 batters that they faced, nine by the way of strikeout. Mountaineer sophomore Tyson Barksdale struck out three batters in his two innings on the mound.
