It was a one run game in the bottom of the sixth when Sehome’s Jad Geiger knocked in Gunnar Tweit for the second run of the game before taking over on the mound in the seventh. Geiger backed himself up, striking out two batters and not allowing a base runner to close out the game and pick up his first save of the season. Freshman Garrett Gibbons pitched brilliantly for the Mariners as he struck out eight batters and allowed just one hit in his six innings of work to pick up the win. Riley Carlson led Sehome with two hits, including a double. Storm senior Hudson Johnson pitched well enough to get the win, but had to settle for the loss. Squalicum’s lone hit came from catcher Henry Ingersoll.

The Bahyawks continued their hot steak by winning their third game in a row, this time at home against the Mountaineers. Bellingham took a 3-0 lead after two innings when Joe Harward scored on a sacrifice fly from Kai Nelson and C.R. Griffith scored on an error in the first inning, and Beckett Fisher scored in the following inning on an error. However, Mount Baker was able to tie it up in the following inning by loading the bases, and then a hit by pitch, an error and a groundout scored Carson Lorimer, Isaiah Bidwell and Tyson Barksdale. It wouldn’t stay tied for long, though, as the Bayhawks scored five more runs in the bottom of the fifth inning. Sophomore Beckett Fisher picked up the win in relief, and Tobias Lamb allowed just one hit over four-plus innings of work.
