  • Lynden 62, Burlington-Edison 32

The Lions held a four-point advantage early in the first quarter and never gave up the lead. In front 17-10 after the first quarter, Lynden’s defense forced the Tigers into tough situations during the second and took a 15-point lead entering the half.

The Lions continued to expand their lead in the third and fourth quarters, denying Burlington any chance of a comeback.

Lynden was led in scoring by freshman guard Finley Parcher, with 20 points. Sophomore forward Payton Mills contributed 13 points and senior forward Haylee Koetje had eight points.

  • Lynden Christian 68, Sehome 34

The Lyncs showed that they are peaking at just the right time as they shot 52% from the field and turned the ball over just seven times against a very good Mariner team at home.

Senior forward Tabby DeJong was the main focal point of the Lynden Christian offense, and she delivered by making 10 of her 13 shot attempts, scoring 21 points and grabbing 11 rebounds.

Junior guard Grace Hintz poured in 14 points on 5-of-8 shooting from the floor, to go with her six rebounds and four assists.

Sehome was led by the 14 points of senior guard Madi Cooper.

  • Lakewood 51, Meridian 44

The Cougars jumped out to a 7-point lead after one quarter, and it proved to be the difference as the rest of the contest was very evenly played.

Senior forward Malia McCauley put up a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Trojans.

Junior point guard Brooklyn Fuller added 11 points, six rebounds, four assists and two steals, while freshman forward Eden Bernardy finished with eight points.

  • Oak Harbor 66, Mount Baker 45

The Wildcats raced out to a 21-6 lead after the first quarter, and held a steady lead from there on out.

Freshman guard Violet Fox neared a triple-double with 17 points, 14 rebounds and seven assists to lead the Mountaineers.

Junior forward Faith Wilson shot 6-for-11 from the floor and totaled 13 points, while sophomore guard Natalie VanLiew scored 11 points and grabbed five rebounds.
