  • Nooksack Valley 51, Seattle Prep 29

By halftime, the Pioneers had doubled up Seattle Prep 34-17. In fact, senior guard Devin Coppinger had outscored her opponents by herself at the intermission 19-17.

She finished with 25 points, nine rebounds and four steals to lead Nooksack Valley past the Panthers in the first round of the tournament.

Senior forward Lainey Kimball also contributed with six points, six rebounds and three steals.

  • Nooksack Valley 47, Mead 30

The Pioneers jumped out to a 16-7 lead after the first quarter, and kept to momentum throughout against the Panthers.

Coppinger led the way once again with 14 points, five steals and four rebounds.

Senior guard Kaylee Anderson also found her stroke early on, and hit three of her five 3-point attempts to finish with nine points, while Kimball scored 10 points.

  • Lake City (ID) 55, Nooksack Valley 48

The Timberwolves started out strong, and led 12-7 after the first quarter. But, the Pioneers poured on 20 points in the second quarter and led 27-21 at the midway break.

The momentum shifted the other way in the third quarter as Lake City outscored Nooksack Valley 18-5 before holding on in the fourth to claim the tournament championship.

Coppinger was 4-of-6 from downtown and finished with a game-high 22 points, six rebounds and three steals.

Senior forward Tana Hoekema scored 10 points for the Pioneers.
