LAUREL – After falling to Bellingham 25-20 in the first set, the Meridian volleyball team won the final three sets, 25-13, 25-18 and 26-24 at home on Saturday night.

Junior Jolena Hoefer had a huge game with 23 kills, 15 digs and four aces, and fellow junior Finnley Claeys had 14 kills, 22 digs and three aces.

Senior Brynn Neal has played amazingly in her new middle hitter position this season, and she loaded the stat sheet with 12 digs, six kills and four aces. Junior Malaysia Smith had 54 assists and 10 digs, while freshman Emry Claeys added 11 kills.

As a team, the TrojansĀ  hit .271 and totaled 73 digs and 12 service aces.

Meridian (5-2) will try to continue to stay hot at Oak Harbor (2-4) on Monday at 7:00.
