Lynden Remains Unbeaten At the Net

BURLINGTON – Game after game, season after season, the Lynden volleyball team continues to consistently win. It happened again on Tuesday night against a very good Burlington-Edison team, as the Lions walked away with another “W” after beating the Tigers three sets to one.

After splitting the first two sets (25-21 and 16-25), Lynden played strong to win the next two sets 25-23 and 25-19.

Senior Anna VanderYacht had another masterful game with 20 kills and 14 digs, and senior Faith Baar was strong in the middle with 15 kills and six blocks.

Senior Sierra McPhail totaled eight kills, and it was her that had the match-ending kills in the final set.

Freshman Haylee Koetje added four kills to go along with 16 digs, freshman Grace Rice racked up 48 assists and fellow freshman Mya VanderYacht had a team-high 19 digs.

Lynden (5-0) will host Mount Vernon (2-4) on Thursday at 7:00.
