It was all Borderites on the road as they scored 19 of their 21 runs over the first three innings. Half of their 16 hits went for extra bases, and every player in the starting lineup scored a run. Mesa Puls doubled, homered, drove in four runs and scored four runs, while Kate Koreski doubled, tripled and scored three runs. Aaliyah Bowman, Susannah Bogle and Charley Bakker each drove in a pair of runs, and Bakker picked up her fourth win of the season.

Senior shortstop Campbell DeJong homered on the ninth pitch of the game to give the Lions an early lead on the road, and they poured in six runs in the top of the fourth to extend their lead before getting the win. Sarah McVie and Kasey DeJong each drove in a pair of runs from the left side of the plate, and Kyleigh McVie scored twice. Callie Ramerman was dominant in the circle once again as she struck out 10 batters over five innings, and allowed just one hit.

It was a steady barrage of offense from the Lyncs, as well as great pitching, that allowed them to pick up their sixth straight conference win. Junior second baseman Taya Vander Kooi doubled, tripled and scored three runs to help lead the offense, along with Taylor Craig who singled, doubled and drove in three runs. Leadoff hitter Kortnee Tolsma also had two hits and two runs scored, and Roxanne Lenning struck out nine batters and allowed just one hit over four innings.

Over the first four innings, freshman catcher Maddie Krumdiack already had posted three doubles and five runs batted in as the Trojans snapped their 10-game losing streak and picked up the home win over the Bayhawks. Shortstop Tavia Alexander and second baseman Layla Curtright each had three hits, while Alexander and Chloe Heinrich also scored three runs and Piper Dyck drove in three runs. Rylie Mattingley struck out a career-high 14 batters. Bellingham’s seven runs all came in the top of the third inning, by seven different players. The Bayhawks also got hits from Emeryst Evans, Ray Jackson and Kassidy Homolka.

The Golden Eagles scored in every inning, and Kate Johnston drove in five of the runs as they picked up the road win over the Mariners. Maddy Slevin had a pair of hits, as did pitcher Charlotte Simon who singled and doubled. Amaya Chervenock and Sianna Bob each scored three runs, and Simon also struck out seven batters without walking anyone. Jordan Walker led Sehome with two hits, while she and Madeleine Hutchinson each doubled.

The Tigers batted around in the bottom of the first inning, scored seven runs and it was too much for the Pioneers to overcome. Gracie Rutgers and Grace DeHoog each singled, while Maleah Loreen tripled and Ellie McKissick doubled.

Sedro-Woolley 16, Mount Baker 2

The Cubs posted 10 runs before the Mountaineers were able to grab a bat as Mount Baker fell to one of the top 3A teams in the state. Cadence Cloninger doubled in the third inning and then came around to score on an error in the field, and Ava Williams was hit by a pitch in the fifth inning, and was eventually driven in by Ella Horsmon. Senior Zaida Haynes also reached base all three times she came up to the plate.
