The Storm took advantage of numerous walks, passed balls and wild pitches in the second inning to score six runs, which helped them defeat the Tomahawks and move into the double-elimination round of the 2A district tournament. Squalicum needed just four hits to score 11 runs, and freshman pitcher Isaac Jarosz picked up two of them, including a double. He also scored twice, along with Ty York, Cameron Schmitt and Brayden McFarlane-Hartley. Hudson Johnson struck out six batters and picked up the win, and Jarosz went the rest of the way and struck out four batters. The Storm will now face Sehome at 6:00 on Thursday at Daniels Field in Anacortes.

The Mountaineers ended their season on a high note by picking up the road win against the Vikings. Mount Baker scored in each of the first four innings, and leading the way was senior Kamden Moa who went 3-for-5 with a homerun, four runs driven in, four runs scored and three stolen bases. He also picked up the win on the mound after striking out seven batters over four innings. Sophomore Tyson Barskdale pitched the final three innings to grab the save as he struck out six batter himself. He also singled three times and scored three runs. Zyan Paglia crushed three doubles, Toga Tigilau drove in three runs, Brad Strom had a pair of hits and Elijah Knutzen scored three runs.
