The Cougars scored a pair of runs in each of the first two innings, and held on the rest of the way. The Borderites were able to have eight batters reach base, but weren’t able to push across any runs. Senior pitcher Emersyn Bakker struck out 11 batters, and allowed just six hits, but uncharacteristically walked seven batters. Shaylie Daniels and Aaliyah Bowman each had a single and a walk for Blaine.
