Blaine 23, Squalicum 3

It was all Borderites as they put on an offensive show against the youthful Storm. Aaliyah Bowman and Millie Berkeley each scored four runs, and Shaylie Daniels drove in six runs. 12 different Blaine players came across to score, and Emersyn Bakker and Daniels combined to strike out 10 batters. Squalicum was led offensively by freshman Addy Hauber who smacked two doubles and scored a run.

The Lync freshmen shined bright as Taya Vander Kooi homered and Roxanne Lenning struck out 14 batters over five innings to help boost Lynden Christian to victory. Kortnee Tolsma, another LC freshman, led her team with two hits with one of them a double. Sophomore Taylor Craig scored three runs and stole three bases. Taryn Hamner got a base hit for Bellingham.

Lakewood 11, Nooksack Valley 1

It was scoreless after two innings, but a 6-run third by the Cougars spelled defeat for the Pioneers. Junior catcher Alayna Dykstra had two hits, stole a base and scored the lone run of the game for Nooksack Valley.

Burlington-Edison 13, Sehome 3

The Mariners didn’t have enough offensive firepower to keep up with the Tigers at home. A nine-run top of the fourth by Burlington-Edison was the dagger, although Sehome came back to score three runs in the bottom of the inning. The Mariners got RBI’s from Elyse Krout, Alex Yaralian and Greta Watson, and Payton Huntley reached base three times and stole two bases.
