ANACORTES 3, NOOKSACK VALLEY 1

DeHoog

After winning the first set, 25-23, the Pioneers were defeated by the Seahawks in three straight sets, 26-24, 25-21 and 25-22.

Senior Lainey Kimball was all over the court with 21 digs, 10 kills and five aces, and sophomore Grace DeHoog was a force up front with 15 kills and three blocks.

“It was a serve and serve receive battle,” Nooksack Valley coach Katie Emmons said. “But, in the end, Anacortes utilized its weapons more proficiently and out ball-handed us.”

Senior Juliana Gimmake had 22 digs, while sophomore Payton Bartl gave out 31 assists to go with her nine digs and three aces. Senior Cailyn Likkel was also strong at the service line with a team-high seven aces.

 

BURLINGTON-EDISON 3, BELLINGHAM 0

Knutsen

The Tigers bested the Bayhawks in three sets, 25-21, 25-20 and 25-15.

Bellingham was led offensively by senior Meysha Riviere who dished out 23 assists. Her main recipients were sophomore Jayda Knutsen (8 kills), senior Chayse Flick-Williams (7 kills) and senior Catherine Chen (6 kills).

Knutsen also led in digs with eight, and she served up one of her team’s four aces.

Sophomore Mary Lockhart contributed with five kills and a team-high three blocks.

OAK HARBOR 3, MOUNT BAKER 0

Jimmie

The Wildcats jumped out to an early lead and never looked back, winning all three sets.

Junior libero Dakota Jimmie led with five digs, while junior Annalee Cohn totaled eight assists and an ace.

Sophomore Amariah Nutting contributed with three digs and three kills, while sophomore Maddi Lewis had five kills, one ace and one dig.
