The Lyncs remained unbeaten as they bested the Storm in three straight sets.

Lynden Christian was led up front by junior Malia Johnson (eight kills) and sophomore Alli Wright (six kills), while senior Tabby DeJong had a pair of blocks and junior Audrey Ellingboe totaled 26 digs.

The Storm were led by senior Olivia Swayne’s eight kills and the 15 digs by sophomore Jolie Paz.

 

MERIDIAN 3, LAKEWOOD 2

Pap

It was a long night for the Trojans, after losing the first set, 25-21, they came back to win three of the next four to stay undefeated in the young season.

Sophomore Gracie Pap racked up 10 kills to go with her two blocks, and fellow sophomore Taya Benson added nine kills herself.

Senior Emry Claeys showed her skills both offensively and defensively with 22 kills and 15 digs.

LYNDEN 3, FERNDALE 0

Rice

The Lions continued their winning ways by defeating Ferndale, 25-11, 25-16 and 25-13.

The Lynden was ran smoothly all evening by senior Grace Rice who gave out 30 assists, with the main beneficiaries being seniors Haylee Koetje and Ashley Shumate, who each delivered 11 kills. They each also had seven digs, and Koetje totaled five aces.

Senior Mya VanderYacht was stellar on defense with 20 digs, while also getting four aces from the service line.

 

SEHOME 3, BLAINE 0

Lee

In a complete team effort, the Mariners defeated the Borderites in three straight sets.

Junior Emmy Lee dished out 16 assists and also served up five aces, while sophomore Hayden Niewiadomski finished with 11 kills, nine aces and a block.

Senior Molly Burfeid and sophomore Makenna Andrews each tallied eight digs and two aces, and junior Maddie Behrends controlled the middle with five kills and a block.
