The Lions had a successful senior night, celebrating Mia Apps and Rainy Kiel, as they defeated the Mountaineers 25-20, 25-17 and 25-16. Sophomore Grace Rice filled the stat sheet once again with 34 assists, eight digs, three kills and a pair of aces. Ashley Shumate had another double-double, this time with 14 kills and 12 digs, and Kaylee Koetje led her team with 17 kills to go along with her six digs. Lucy White and Mya VanderYacht combined for 20 digs.
MERIDIAN 3, SEHOME 0
The Trojans got back in the win column by beating the Mariners 25-16, 25-18 and 25-14. Meridian was still without its start senior setter Malaysia Smith, but Hayden Claeys filled in and totaled 24 assists and eight digs. Finnley Claeys had a double-double with 12 kills and 12 digs, and fellow senior Jolena Hoefer racked up nine kills and 10 digs. Junior Avery Neal had 20 digs and sophomore Emry Claeys contributed at the net with six kills and three blocks.
