NOOKSACK VALLEY 3, BURLINGTON-EDISON 2

The Pioneers did it again, coming back from being down two sets to none. The Tigers won the first two sets, 25-13 and 25-18, but Nooksack went on the Valley Rally and beat Burlington-Edison 25-21, 25-23 and 15-10 to take the match, and win its ninth of the season. Hallie Kamphouse led with 23 kills and 24 digs, and Lainey Kimball added 17 kills and 28 digs. Devin Coppinger was all over the court with 44 assists, 24 digs and seven kills, and Ellie Van Berkum dug out 29.

Aylen

SEHOME 3, MOUNT BAKER 2

The Mariners ultimately came out on top after a momentum-swinging match with the Mountaineers. Sehome took the first set 25-19, and Mount Baker battled back to take the second set 25-22. The Mariners won the third 25-12, and the Mountaineers tied it up again after a 25-22 win. Sehome won the final set 15-9 to clinch its third win of the season. Kaia Aylen had a team-high 17 kills, Sammi Valett added 10 kills and freshman Madi Behrends contributed with eight kills. Josie Wilson dished out 42 assists, Molly Burfeind had 29 digs and Kate Furman served up six aces.

Madisyn Butenschoen

FERNDALE 3, BELLINGHAM 0

The Golden Eagles were able to get every player from their roster on the court, as it was truly a team effort when they beat the Bayhawks 25-8, 25-14 and 25-17. Madisyn Butenschoen had a great game at the net with nine kills and two blocks, and Mallory Butenschoen added six aces and 17 digs. Seniors Alyvia Semu  and Kaelee Bungard totaled 15 kills between them, and Ferndale had 16 aces as a team.

Rice

LYNDEN 3, BLAINE 0

The Lions kept their streak alive, winning their seventh match in a row, and their 11th of the season by upending the Borderites 25-15, 25-14 and 25-16. Lynden got strong, consistent play at the service line, totaling 17 aces, with Haylee Koetje putting up seven of them, while adding five kills. Senior Mia Apps added four kills and Ashley Shumate poured in nine kills. Mya Vander Yacht totaled six digs and four aces, while Grace Rice had 19 assists, three kills and three digs.

Neal

MERIDIAN 3, MOUNT VERNON 0

It was a senior-night sweep for the Trojans, and they beat the Bulldogs 25-11, 25-4 and 25-7. Jolena Hoefer had a team-high 12 kills, while also serving up a pair of aces. Finnley Claeys had a team-high nine aces to go with her 10 digs and five kills, and Avery Neal added 14 digs and three aces. Hayden Claeys ran the offense with 25 assists.
