I had been waiting a while to see him compete at the varsity level, and he didn’t disappoint. In fact, he performed beyond expectations! He started the year at defensive end, and started making plays from day one. He eventually worked his way into the offense, at tight end and as a slot receiver. And, when LC was left without its starting running back, Eldridge filled the spot. From the point on, he averaged over 100 yards rushing per game, and his 8.3 yards per carry in a season is the highest in school history. All of this while maintaining his dominance at defensive end. He was named the Cascadia Preps 1A Underclassman of the Year.
