A rock in the middle of the Mountaineer defense. Tremendous instincts allowed him to be in on 12 tackles per game. Great at knifing through the line and making a tackle behind the line. Followed through with every crushing hit. Tremendously unselfish, giving sure greatness as a running back to play left tackle on offense. Turned out to be a great move, and was one of the quickest tackles in the county. Was named All-Conference 1st Team at linebacker, and then was named All-State 1st Team at linebacker.
