On this day in Whatcom County football history:

1984: The Bellingham Red Raiders played the longest game in Whatcom County history, losing a heart-breaker to Arlington 48-47 in six overtimes!

1990: Bellingham senior wide receiver Ty Elmendorf set a new Whatcom County record with 253 receiving yards in a 33-15 victory over Vancouver College. He caught 11 passes in the game, and his Whatcom County record stood for nine years.

2007: Lynden senior wide receiver Ryan Gaylord set a school record by catching 12 passes in a 35-6 win over Mount Baker. His record stood for seven years.

2007: Squalicum junior wide receiver Paul Smith set a school with nine receptions in a 27-14 loss to Sedro Woolley. His record stood for seven years.
