BELLINGHAM – It was a very physical and hard-fought game by both teams, but the Storm held on to an early lead and stayed the course to defeat the Mariners 2-0 on Thursday.

Sophomore Mason Lloyd scored four minutes into the game, on an assist by Kamden Fix. Squalicum’s strong midfield dealt well with the five-man midfield that Sehome presented to start the game.

Sophomore goalkeeper Nick Birnel made incredible saves and came out during multiple one-on-one situations to make tremendous saves. Senior forward Justice Chala scored the second goal of the game.

Senior Cameron McNally had a strong presence in the back as well as Caden Seyler and Mason Kyles. Ale Tomasi, Carl Peterson, and Chala made magic happen in the middle while Fix and Tayson Pickering made looping runs multiple times to create more chances up top.
